Congratulations and Happy Valentines Day

In high school, I worked as a pizza delivery driver, we met for the first time when she ordered a pizza and requested I deliver it. We were both just 16 years old.

After 22 years of marriage, I lover her more now that I ever have. She has proven to be an excellent mom to our 7 children that range in age from 2 to 20. She is the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I see before I go to sleep. I can not imagine living without her by my side. Our love is the very foundation that all things are built upon. She has inspired me to excel in all that I do and never settle for second best. Over the years for various holidays, she has asked that I not buy her anything, all she wanted was a written note telling her how much I love her. I have tried several times, barely succeeding each time. She deserves the best and loves grand gestures, an area in which I seem to be lacking. She has stood by me during my tour in Desert Storm, my overseas assignment in Germany, and continues to stand by me anxiously awaiting my return home after a long day of work as a Police Officer. She is an exceptional wife/mom and a role

We married at 18 and I left for Army training 10 days later, we saw each other briefly over the next 9 months,  finally she was able to join me in Germany, only to find out weeks later that I was being deployed to Iraq, she flew back home to the states to stay with family during my deployment. I found out shortly after that she had become pregnant with the first of our 3 birth children. She remained in the states as long as she could, then returned to Germany to wait for me. I will never forget seeing her for the first time after 8 months of being pregnant, wearing red stretchy pants with a white maternity top that had red hearts all over it, she had the biggest smile ever!  Less than a year ago we adopted 3 children, twin 10 year old girls and their 4 year old brother, we are still fostering yet another and thoroughly enjoy the children we have in our home as well as the  ability we have to help and make a difference in their lives.

She is the most selfless person I know, often up late doing laundry and up first thing in the morning preparing breakfasts and lunches. She always has enough energy to get up in the middle of the night when one of the kids has a belly ache or a bad dream. As foster parents, the phone can ring at any time to perhaps take in 1 or more children, and she is always willing to help in any way that she can. She is a remarkable Christian and lives a life she knows God would approve of and want for her. She is truly different than any woman I know.
